Fashion is a complex subject that seems to be the obsession of many of the strata of society, as it often gives a clear indication of one's social status. There are many unwritten rules regarding fashion in general, but every fashionista has their own opinions on what is considered appropriate.
Paris is said to be at the center of the world of fashion.
Most individuals will have clothing matching their social status with possibly one or two outfits that are considered adequate for higher class events. The fashion norms are somewhat more relaxed in the New World regarding social status.
Fashion for Men
Fashion for men is relatively simple, with the quality and style of garments and accessories
Men are expected to wear trousers, with buttoned waistcoat over a shirt. When outside, a hat should always be worn. The height of the hat is normally an indication of their social standing. Most well off men also carry a pocket watch and chain as accessories. Men without a handkerchief is all but unheard of.
Fashion for Women
Women are expected to wear dresses or blouses with skirts, with a corset underneath to help shape the waist. When outdoors, a widebrim hat is the norm, as well as gloves by members of higher society. Most will accessories with a necklace or brooch when possible.
Women riding horses, are police officers or enlisted in the military are permitted to wear trousers, as long as they have been appropriately tailored to their shapes. While wearing trousers, they normally do not wear a corset. Instead they wear a a corselet gorge (brassiere)
Vampire Haute Couture

Vampires in Paris have recently launched a new fashion trend for clothing for women that is considered more risqué. This trend is popular as well among younger adult women of other species. Form fitting dresses and delicate underwear are the hallmarks of this trend.
