Mario I of Berin becomes emperor.

Mario I of Berin takes the royal palace and claims the throne as emperor which was a term he invented at the time because he couldn't legitimize himself as king. He adopted to his title the name Berinus which is the name of the river that runs through the city and has a lot of cultural significance to get further legitimacy. Therefore it's called the "Year of Adoption".
