Water Dowser
A broad term for any machine designed to draw water from the stone tower. The basic hand tool looks like a box with a corkscrew that draws water from the stone and collects it in a tank inside the box.
Using a water dowser in a large water tower is dangerous. The machines can breakdown, often violently and without warning. Sometimes during the eclipse the dowser becomes too powerful and cannot be turned off sometimes leading to flooding with unprocessed magical water
Other water dowsers on ships are large enough to purify large tanks of water for the crew, and some can even be used to find other sources of water.
