Orcs

Orcs were once elves that were strengthened and changed by the power of solar magic. Their most notable feature is their green skin, pointy ears, and brightly colored eyes, as well as being noticeably larger than the other races of Ulaan. Orcs are proud and patriotic and will defend their House's honor until they die. Orcs view all craftsmanship as art, and you can tell if a tool or weapon is Orcish if it has designs or artistic flourishes that give it a personal feel. In social settings, Orcs are always unapologetically themselves and find the etiquette of the Elvish high councils alienating. The average lifespan of an Orc is 200 years.
Elves and orcs have had a long-standing animosity with each other. Orcs are often shunned by elf society and have spent centuries carving out a niche for themselves through alliance and trade. In the modern era, they have become very important players on the world stage through the strong bonds of the Houses.
The Orcs are not all united under one banner, and their cities are divided among the Orcish Houses. Each house is ruled by a monarch called a Royal Khan. Some Khans rule their kingdoms with fairness and empathy, while others have become feudal lords. Certain Houses lay claim to more than one city-state, while others only control small fiefdoms.
The Orcish Empire once spanned most of the planet, but their constant wars with the Elves and infighting among the Houses led to a slow splintering of their society. While the Elves' monarchies gradually faded away and led to a capitalist hierarchy, the lineage of all the Orcish Houses can be traced back millennia.
The city of Tectonia was controlled by House Earthshaker, a House that has prided itself on its military prowess for generations. After the end of the Second Corporate War, The House was forcefully removed from power and the Granduo Guild Confederation took control.
