Desyatina Empire's Internal Tensions

tensions

The Desyatina Empire is large and has a long history, and has become unstable. There are multiple issues that are contributing to this instability; some are obvious, some are abstract, and others will be pointed out through the lens of history. This here is the most narrative (or playable) tensions that are happening all over the Empire. Desyatina Empire is a highly religious society, therefore, assume that there are religious components to even nation conflicts.

Traditionalist:
There are those within the Empire who feel that the Empires instability and ruin is at hand. There has been too much change over the generations, too many compromises, too much lost from the wise founding tribes. Traditionalist want to save the Empire by going back to the old ways, stability will come by doing the things we did when we were stable. Of course, all traditionalist have their own version of savior status-que and none of them are united. Some want to remove the Emperor, some want pure orcin blood, some want an burn blasphemers. Most want is as easy as it was when their grandparents were alive.

Topor Lessnika: These are a large group of the Empire's population, outside of class distinctions, that feel that the Empire needs to change even more. The instability is from the core values of the culture no longer working on an empire's scale and best to chop off those roots. What changes need to be made, what will replace them, varies through the Empire. Most ideas seem to be based more on a charismatic leader; rather than well thought out logic. Although it appears that the Avantyura religion is at the center of this ideology, there are several other groups.

Rebellions: The Desyatina Empire is a slave base economy which always have a tension of rebellion. Add a heavily abuses of the lower classes and corruption of the noble families; rebellion is always desired. The Question is when to rebel? Is now the best time or wait for a better opportunity.

Opportunists: Of course there are those within every society that simply is in it for themselves. No mater what the consequences could be, they exploit blindly or rationally.
