Pilot Report
General Summary
- ReSeSS visited Timberland a town a couple of days outside Neverwinter.
- Timberland is famous for providing lumber to Neverwinter ship yards. The trees grow incredibly fast making a perfect for setting up lumber harvesting in a fixed location
- Timberland has had some scribes go missing lately. The scribes were tasked with determining the source of the fast growing trees so that the merchants guild can replicate this miracle elsewhere
- After some investigation the body of a scribe was found showing that: (1) the anomaly flows from the centre of town (the anomaly rapidly ages people and animals (3) the anomaly is spreading
- The party discoverd that the gate was disguised in plain sight in square in the middle of town.
- A Xentarim agent named Nardual was tasked with keeping this gate a secret. He has already transmitted back to headquarters the faces of the party.
- The party went through the gate rather than attempting becoming hunted by the Xentarim. They took Nardual with them.
In a nutshell...
- The party is now unable to pass back through the gate, but even if they could, they are unsafe back in Faerun (their home)
- Rex their mentor (manager) is eager to explore this new area looking for opportunities for fame and riches
- Nardual the Xentarim agent is frightened and urges caution from drawing attention
