General Summary

After a devastating defeat at the hands of Zinavor and Vierrodith, the heroes are forced to retreat into the storm. They use their precious moments with their activated relic to find a place of safety and rest but only see devastation and ruin in the valley bellow. As the storm intensifies, they find a shallow cave system near the scant ruined settlements and brace for what is to come. Merla speaks with the echo of her brother before a pulse of intense energy washes over the area. The gold dragon's last words, as it sacrifices its form to protect the trio, are instructions to Merla that she can fragment her soul to call upon its might once more, a high price to pay. As Beacon captures the three friends in their moments huddled out of the storm, Dane communes with his deity in an attempt to glean what he can for the fight ahead. The morning of Arthion, the 4th day of Avourel, the group travel overland using the golden artifact given by Merla's estranged brother, this time in the form of a giant canary. They descend out of another forming storm in the ruins of a small mining village, Coldhaven. With a vicious storm overhead they huddle in the ruins, they find they are not alone, as the undead inhabitants rise to exact a price on the unsuspecting trio.
