Session 2: Having tracked the beast

General Summary

The Hunters have followed the Wyvern back to the caves that it fled too. After some investigating, they find a bloody claw print on the cliff edge. Climbing the rockface Vokun and Tiny find a tunnel carved out into the top of the caves, an escape tunnel for the Wyvern? They decide to attempt to fill the hole with rocks and boulders. Once that is done the party begins to debate on whether they should enter the caves or wait for the wyvern to come out.

After some debate, Tiny grows impatient and charges in. They all stop shortly when they realize that the passageway they have entered has some worked stone along with lit torches. They begin to proceed forward and find a small chamber. A river of lava passes through it with a wooden bridge spanning it. Two skull-masked cultists stand on the opposite end and summon Spiritual weapons to harry the group. As battle ensues, they say "you must be the one's who hurt our master's pet." Fortunately, the group quickly attacks the cultists and destroys them. They are stunned to find that the cultists seem to crumble to bone meal when they are killed as if they were never flesh or alive.

In the next chamber, they find strange glowing crystals. When they are touched they issue a singular sound. The party begins to piece together what word or words could allow them to pass through a magical barrier. Tiny decides to try to singular word "Open" and it works!

They proceed carefully down the corridor, their torch light playing off the walls. The next chamber is completely dark and Tiny goes forward since he is the only one with darkvision. He hears the crumbling of rocks above him and narrowly avoids being struck with the wyvern's stinger.

Vokun wounds the wyvern deeply with Inflict Wounds but gets bit by the wyvern for it. His closeness to his god Donnen allows him to sting the wyvern with lightning.

Dhar deals some incredible punches, and manages to grab the wyvern in a grapple, keeping it from flying in the air.

Tiny's great sword deals great damage to it and his stone rune stuns it.

Strax's caustic brews cause it to slowly lose its health over time as its wings burn.

The wyvern in defeated!
