Session 11: Back in Freeport Report

General Summary

The party after their short rest pushes towards Freeport once more, the first hour of their travel is quite uneventful but as darkness falls they begin the hear the sounds of frogs. They are suddenly ambushed by 5 Giant Toads. They are big and mean and manage to swallow over half the party as the party desperately struggles in this encounter.   However they are victorious, after cleaning themselves up they make it back to Freeport. Tired and sore they head towards the Longwood Residence. Quite a bit of a smaller manor compared to the rest of the district, however like the rest of the manors Ulfgar Longwood still has some private guards. The party approaches them and manages to quickly get escorted into the manor's parlor. Shortly Ulfgar Longwood shows up in his night gown and cap looking tired, however as soon as he see's Amelia Greyheart he is quite shocked, Amelia seeing Ulfgar and his now aged face breaks down in tears, now realizing the party was not lying to her when they told her 20 years had pass. With their touching reunion now over. Ulfgar pays the group as promised. 200 GP. With some pleasantries and small talk. And an offer to Ulfgar if he ever wishes to collect the remains of Amelia Greyheart's fallen companions to give them a shout.   The party then returns to The Scholar's Quill they meet the night attendant who recognizes them. As they try to slip up the stairs quietly they are unsuccessful and they hear Desi yelling to be more quiet as they come up the stairs. The party gets a good nights rest in and awake the next morning.   The next day they freshen up and head to breakfast at 8am sharp. Not long after Alashna Ravonich arrives and joins the group. After some catching up and small talk. Jorin asks if she has any news on the escaped prisoners. Unfortunately she has not, the reason she has come to the group is some disturbing rumors of undead roaming Scurvytown at night. Obviously they can not leave the poor folk to any fate that might befall them and she is hiring the party to patrol the docks within the district. While her and 4 other teams patrol the deeper areas. She is willing to pay the party 200 gp each to patrol for the next week, if they do not find anything after then it might just have been rumors after all. She also gives Rothgar 3 spell scrolls of sending. Which she instructs him to use to immediately report to her if they find anything. She leaves the party to their own devices for the day as she herself goes to prepare for the patrols that night.
