Session 36: Traveling Odisia Report

General Summary

The party with a long trip in front of them, feel it is best to purchase a proper wagon so they do not have to walk the entire trip. They manage to find a deal for a covered wagon, and a couple ox to pull it at The Kicking Mantle. Forstford 's local stable. Now with all 8 members loaded into the wagon they set off through the grasslands towards their first waypoint. A town called Riversummit on the Drumminster River.   About on the halfway mark on their first leg of the journey they are ambushed by a group of hobgoblins. The hobgoblins are no match to the party and are quickly dispatched. They find a small stash of coin on them. The party then continues their travels. About 6 days later they arrive in Riversummit. In Riversummit they do some quick shopping in the early evening hours before making their way to the inn and calling it a night. Bright and early the next morning they travel across the bridge and make their way along the trail that continues through the Drumminster Woods. About a week through the woods, they arrive in Alverton. Again a repeat of Riversummit. Do some light shopping and straight to the inn to spend the night.   The next morning they continue to travel west to arrive at the city of Armskirk. After a night there they continue to follow the road that now leads North-West. After another week of travel they arrive in a town known as Beachcastle. A town that interestingly has ruins of a castle right on the shores of Battlelow Lake. They continue north along the road that follows the shoreline and are eventually ambushed by a group of Giant Hyena's along with their leader a Gnoll Pack Lord. The group's ox is injured, but survives luckily. The group easily removes the threat that is before them. They continue their travels and in the early morning hours of Cadius 25 they arrive in the town of Troutbeck. A town known for it's trout fishing. The party spends the morning at The Unique Bear. Where they find a dish known as Trout Benedict. It is quite delicious. Hanz even takes some on the road to eat later in the day.   Four days later on the road the arrive in a town known as Glimmerbarrow. Here they find a potions shop. They do some more shopping before they continue their journey. It is another 4 days on the road and they arrive in the town of Norwich. Nothing of not here. They check the shops for anything interesting before heading to the inn for the night. The next morning they are back on the road and arrive in the city of Pinnella Pass. The largest city in this part of the United Provinces of Odis, here they find large walls well protected by a large contingent of soldiers. The group spends the early evening shopping and then spend the night at the local inn.   Now before them is the Baston Mountains, here they will enter the dwarven kingdom of the Holds of Baston. They travel for another week, now dealing with snow as they approach winter their best hope is to get entry into the Under Roads. A series of underground highways that connect all of the Dwarven Holds together. Here they will be able to travel without worrying about the elements and arrive at the closest hold to Sanctuary. The party finds themselves now before the great gates that mark the entry into Khag Todur.
