Session 35: The Knights of the Rose Report

General Summary

The Red Rose Knight begins it's assault on the party. Forming a halberd of flesh and black blood from it's hand. Almost much the same as Jorin does himself. The Knight lets out a great howl, and charges towards the party. Hanz quickly moves to the front to defend the front lines, while the rest of the party starts bringing up their buffs, while Diala fires a lighting bolt at the Knight. The Knight responds by summoning a greater demon a Tanarukk. A creature that is created form an Orc by a demon lord. The battle is fierce, and the knight proves to be a terrifying warrior and spellslinger.   The party with concentrating fire, manages to fell the Knight. As they investigate the body they find under his helmet an ashen face bleeding black blood from all of his orifices. The rest of his armor is fused to his flesh and unable to be removed. They also find a letter. It is summarized as follows. The Knight they had slain was known as Brother Andromalius, the letter is from a fellow knight named Brother Amon. It speaks of collecting the Dragonborn with post haste as they will begin their assault on Sanctuary in the fortnight. Sanctuary the hidden abode of Dragonborn located on the border of the Vimor Empire just within the Baston Mountains is in danger. Rothgar reading this is quick to rush the party back to the undercroft. With the two unconscious Dragonborn being carried, they make it without running into any problems. Here they rest for a couple hours waiting for the Dragonborn to awaken.   As they both awake they are glad to see Rothgar, they get caught up on what had happened. They also here of the attack on Sanctuary. They like Rothgar wish to travel to Sanctuary post haste.   The party slips out of the undercroft under the cover of darkness and make their way back down the winding path. They find a small cave about 20 minutes away and with a casting of Tiny Hut they find themselves a nice cosy place to sleep for the night. They build a fire. Have a quick bite to eat and spend the next 8 hours sleeping. The next morning they set out back down the mountain. The trail is much more obvious going back. They make it back to Forstford within 4 days. They spend the night at Forstford at the inn.   The next morning they get ready to head west. They have a 52 day journey ahead of them to make it to the Baston Mountains. It will be winter by the time they arrive. Hopefully the dwarves are welcoming, and allow usage of the Under Roads. It might be the only way to travel through the mountain passes at that point.
