Session 6 Report

General Summary

This session began with Suri answering the party's query about where Skybreaker was located. Suri told them that Skybreaker was currently being held at the Red Gallery in Palliholm, and urged the party to go after the artifact there. Brook was insulted by Satra, but Amethyst followed Brook and learned how to hug in the Downfall Library. After that, the party received Suri's Ring of Dimensional Rifts and Suri opened the way back to the outside of the Abbey for them.   When the party arrived outside the Abbey, Satra tried out her feather token and threw it up into the air, spawning the enormous bird which she then named Roz. The party mounted Roz and they took off toward Palliholm. Along the way, the party had several uneventful stops as Roz needed to take breaks from flying, though they did spend one night on Roc Island. During that night, Satra decided to use the last of her Dragonspice to drug the party's food. Brook did not partake, and instead took off into the treeline on the island. Various antics ensued where Lex was supremely focused on the quest, Amethyst felt very alone and went into the ocean, and Satra told the party about her origin and performed a song about sperm. During this malarkey the party fooled around with coconuts that had fallen from the palm trees in the area, and they subsequently named themselves the CocoNUTS. After a while, the CocoNUTS passed out from drug exposure.   They spent another several days traveling across the Glittering Sea, and spent their last night before reaching Volorun on the Island of Alillas. There, the CocoNUTS found a dilapidated tower that seemed to be abandoned. After extensive investigation, they decided to hunker down there for the night. Everyone's watches passed uneventfully until Lex's watch, whereupon a collection of undead warriors assaulted the tower. After wiping out the zombies, the party decided to run away and Roz was summoned from the roof of the tower to pick up the party members one by one.   The CocoNUTS continued on to Palliholm. Upon arrival, they found the city besieged by the Draconic Division of King Morbius's army. The CocoNUTS decided to land in the northeastern portion of the city even though the Draconic Division was attacking from the southwest, and Lex sprinted off to confront the Draconic Division as soon as they landed. Brook took her leave from the party in Palliholm, leaving Satra and Amethyst to find the Red Gallery. The Satra and Amethyst found a collection of three longhalls labeled "The Home of the Hand", "The Red Gallery", and the "Sword of the Hand". They investigated a series of false doors into the Red Gallery before landing on the correct one and opening it. Once inside, they saw a series of red pulsing protection fields that were keeping highly magical items behind them. Satra and Amethyst also saw Skybreaker, the Astral Tempest protected behind a dome of this same magical energy at the back of the Gallery. While they were puzzling about how to get it out, Maron Gentropsie used Dimension Door to step into the area and grab Skybreaker before falling back through another ashy door and away from the two of them.   Lex finally arrived at the southwestern portion of the city and found the meager Palliholmian defenses floundering against the overwhelming power of the Draconic Division. Lex asked a soldier how to get to the front lines, and he threw him into a murder hole which had an open bottom. Lex landed on the front lines and saw Cain and Montrose Gentropsie leading their legions against the walls of Palliholm. Lex also saw Montrose wielding Truth, the sword of Lex's lifelong friend and training partner Justin Torosa, and that's where we ended session.
