Having taken refuge in a cave beneath one of the snow hills, the party finally had a chance to rest... for a few moments at least. After exploring the cave further, they learned that there was more to this hide-out than Lindsey had shared. After the entrance closed, the party tied her up and after a few escape attempts on her part, they headed deeper into the cave. The party found storage crates and barrels with disturbing contents, handcuffs that prevent magic, and the skeletons of unlucky individuals. Alexander is caught by a spectral hand and dragged into another room. A quick fight and tossing of enemies later, the door had been murdered and Seph, Fay, and Alex spent a bit of time talking to the Book-Keeper who was safe behind an invisible barrier. Garbonzo leaves to fetch Verna (who had been having a wonderful nap) and after another skirmish, Verna, Alex, and Seph are captured and taken into another room behind a steel door. The party is split and time is running out. Will the party be able to reunite and discover what is really happening here?
Within the first 10 hours of the party leaving the 'safety' of Starmound, almost every member had a brush with death or eternal imprisonment in the endless depths of the snow as they trekked deeper into the blizzard. Luckily, Lindsey led the group to an icy cavern to escape the snowstorm.
Having discovered yourself ripped from your world and deposited in an unfamiliar place, you met several other folks that had found themselves in the same unfortunate situation. You are bruised and battered, but relatively functional and have a new strange mark on your left forearm. Eventually, a human named Fildor Mestarine came into the large room you had materialized into and introduced himself. As a last-resort effort to find his sister Lilac, he had summoned you here. Regrettably, he is not a mage of any kind and is relatively unfamiliar with magic. This led to an incomplete and incorrectly cast spell, resulting in your current condition of health. The only way he could even summon you was because a mysterious individual had left the page of a spellbook behind after visiting the inn Fildor ran. Fildor profusely apologized for both his inadequacy and actions. He expressed that he would greatly appreciate any and all help you were willing to give, but he was in the wrong and if you refused to help him he completely understood. As this might be a dangerous and lengthy adventure, he encouraged you all to take some time to think about it and consider your options. He promised free food, drink, and lodging at his inn regardless of if you chose to help him or not. You all took him up on his offer and began to explore the Starmound Inn. On the main floor, you met a woman named Lindsey who told you fantastical stories of her adventures and a particular dragon who had consumed her party members and the people of the town. She proclaimed that she was on her way to defeat this dragon! Her sweet words and tantalizing tongue caused the promise of an adventure such as this to be one you could not pass up.

I look forward to seeing you all this evening! We will be going over Scheduling, 'Table' Expectations, Campaign Framework, House Rules, and what everyone's favorite parts of D&D are! We will not be playing this morning but I will end with a to-do list for everyone :)
