Session 11: The Morning After Report

4 OCT 2019 27 AUG 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1 In the night everyone dreams of foul deeds. Clara was given a message from Baziel. She is to expect a Dwarvish visitor in the morning, who has been sent to aid the party in their quest. Seren, disturbed by her dream, sent a message to Arawn on Ynys Ilwyn. Tristan tells the party to make their way to the Citadel after they have retrieved the necklace. He will send Seren ravens to guide the party to the citadel. When he is done speaking, a dwarven Barbarian will enter into the camp. He claims that he was given a vision 2 days ago and have journeyed here upon it's instruction. He is Marcus' new character Ranmin. Aldric has chosen to accompany Tristan to the Citadel, and will be leaving the party. After their goodbyes and the parting of friends, the party will begin their journey along the road, as they are lead by the merchants. They meet a band of dwarven rangers as they continue up the road. The rangers will be in search of the missing caravan. They carry news about increased Orc activities, and warn the travelers to be on alert. They also warn the party of the bad king. Two dwarven brothers have usurped the thrown and have taken over the mountain. They put dwarves under their spell. They were on the road for about 12 miles when the road veered to the west and a dirt road split off from it going Northeast. The party's path lead them upon the dirt road, which continued for a stretch of 10 miles. They saw a large mountain looming amongst the trees of the forest. The merchants guided the party to a path that they assure you will lead to a secret door at the path's end. Ranmin was able to find it. The party wants to free the Elven prisoners. Ranmin was able to infiltrate the fortress. Inside he found (4) Mountain Dwarves on guard. They were ambushed and tied up outside. Ranmin led the party inside. It seems to be some kind of dungeon. They find the quartermaster and Ranmin tries to trick him, but it doesn't work. They have a small scuffle with him and his aid, but are able to subdue them. The Quartermaster & his aid were tied up and knocked unconscious. The doors of the barracks and officer quarters have been secured with a rope, preventing the doors from opening naturally. The party now knows that the captain is in possession of the key to the prisoners' cells.
