Session 18: The Dark Day pt. 2 Report

General Summary

27 MAR 2020   30 AUG 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1     Our heroes started off by quietly hiding/disposing of the 9 dead peltasts.   They were soon joined by another Crimson Order member, Onat Akosha, who was making her way back to the Citadel after completing a mission. She didn't know of the current events, but was aware of the Eshkatarans, as she ran into one of their foraging parties. The heroes learned that she can understand all languages.   After a tense encounter with an Eshkataran foraging patrol, the heroes made a hasty retreat. Yendaya grabbed Vaela and used Dimension Door to get out of perceivable range. Seren transformed into a giant eagle and grabbed Ranmin and took off. Circling back, she managed to also pick up Clara. One of the archers was able to get a shot off that hit Seren. In retaliation, Clara launched a fireball that consumed the commander and both archers. Kyo was left all alone, but Bill the scout and Akosha found him and led him back to the Citadel. Yendaya and Vaela were able to navigate close to the Citadel, where a Crimson Order patrol found them and led them back inside.   Once back at the Citadel the heroes took part in the major council session, where they gave a hasty report about their aborted mission. Ranmin was interested in hearing Akosha's report to the council, so the party stayed to hear her report as well.   Akosha' Report: On her peace keeping patrol, Akosha helped a halfling Chieftain recover a stolen bracelet.   Akosha encountered an enemy foraging party and was able to defeat them. She gave an account to the Great Council about their fighting style. The Eshkatarans are very well trained and disciplined. They will fight to the last man and will give no quarter to their enemy. Their tactics are very well organized, and they fight in tandem with one another. They are the best team fighters that Akosha has ever encountered.   Ranmin: Set about helping with the defenses of the Citadel.   After the meeting, most of the party found themselves in the mess hall. Except for Vaela, who was in the library researching trickster gods, and Ranmin who was assisting with fortifications.   In the mess hall the Mor’Rahg brothers appeared. Their armor showed signs of battle, and each of them bore bloody wounds. Báziel was with them. No’Tash and Mor’Tash were carrying her. Purple blood seeped from many wounds, and her normally white garments had splotches of dark purple. Her arms were each propped up by a Mor’Rahg brother. Seren noticed clutched in Báziel’s right hand was the bloody and broken crown of Shira-Mar.

150 XP to everyone for killing (2) Eshkataran Toxotai (Archers)   Yendaya: 450 XP for saving Vaela by using Dimension Door.   Seren: 900 XP for shape-shifting into a giant eagle and saving Ranmin and Clara.   Ranmin: 450 XP - Discussing and helping with the Citadel fortifications, and an extra 450XP for wanting to hear Akosha's report to the council ;-)
