Session 15: The Mor'Rahg Brothers Report

General Summary

10 JAN 2020   29 AUG 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1   0600     It is morning and the party encounters the Mor’Rahg brothers. They tell the party that they represent a god who is still neutral in the war of the gods. This deity is looking to the party for hope in the cause against Nahpel. Is it worth fighting for? The brothers warn the party about an approaching orc band. They try and persuade the brothers to help them, but they decline. They tell the party that they will be watched, and they may meet again. After they leave, signs of the Orc party are revealed. The party noticed that time slowed/stopped as they talked with the brothers.   The party easily dispatch the orcs and Seren encounters another raven, who warns them of the siege by Black Sun. It tells her to meet up with rangers who will lead them into the Citadel via a secret passage.   After arriving, the party shares details with the Crimson Order head, Naw-Ibo. They convince him to parlay with Black Sun, for an army of Eshkatarans are on their way to smash Black Sun and the Crimson Order. Their only hope is to unite. Naw-Ibo sends out scouts and confirms the party’s news.   He sends word to parlay with Sir Willard, the leader of the siege. Naw-Ibo asks that the party be present at the negotiation table. The party, minus side kicks, Tristan, and Naw-Ibo meet in the gate. Willard will be here, accompanied by two of his generals. It will be revealed that Willard was behind the party’s encounters in Sardar. He will reveal that his name is really Aethelwold. He will demand the Black Sun (the black sun sword) as payment for their forces joining. Naw-ibo will ask time to consider. Most of the Council is elsewhere dealing with threats. Naw-Ibo only has Tristan here. After a small deliberation, Naw-Ibo agrees and presents the black saber to Aethelwold. After powering on the saber, Aethelwold volunteers to also help with the party’s mission. Lord Kyo, one of his generals who is also Tim’s character, joins the party.   The session ends with the party still at the negotiating table.   We will pick up role playing this negotiation out. If I have forgotten anything, we will start off by filling in gaps. Seren has visited the library in the time before the negotiation with Black Sun and has retrieved some historical scrolls.
