Broken Obelisk Session 18

General Summary

Session 17: 10-08-2025

• The party set off a trap when they encounter the locked door at the bottom and they got grievously wounded. They decided to return to the ship and got healed by the cleric onboard.
• Returning to the dungeon to encountered a huge undead monster that hit them with lighting blasts, swallowed Bruise whole and was saved by a divinely infused strike from Torold.
• They discovered an abandoned study with documents and a journal detailing the shift of the population of Halarahh to Abeir, a copy of the planet in another plane of existence.
• Returning briefly to the Lich, Kaxxa gave him a copy of the journal for his library.
• The party returns to the Rock of Bral after defeating the undead Behir underneath Kholstar's Keep.
• They traded the book for the reward from the Thieves Guild and Kaxxa sold a copy to the bookseller Salazar.
• Kaxxa bought a map from Elmandar's Starcharts that shows the location to the mysterious continent of

Session 18: 24-08-2025

• The party did some shopping in the system and bought a Jar of Endless Mayonnaise, a Returning Handaxe +1 , an Immovable Rod and an Air Bubble Cap.
• Trix bought the spell Air Bubble from the Mage's Guild.
• They fly out to the city of Ziracos and land in the sea, sailing into port disguised as a regular vessel.
• Inquiring with the captain and the harbormaster they get directed into the city for more information on the Obsidian Aerie, the mage's stronghold build in to the mountain.
• Ron went off to find traces of the criminal underground and found a tavern with symbols resembling Thieves Cant. It's called the Golden Raptor, a dirty dilapidated structure with many sailors drinking and carousing inside.
• They went in as a group with Ron skulking around looking for potential contacts. He saw some shady figures in the back.
• After they spoke with the bartender they found out the shady figures are fences working for the thieves guild the Shadow Stars. He informed them they can find out about the Thieves Guild in the Radiant Tower.
• They left after that but bumped into some Masks of Ulric, the assassins who kidnapped the child and killed Torold's brother going into the same tavern.
• Kaxxa waved them inside and they passed without a word but Ron followed them stealthily. He overheard them speaking with the fences in the back of room about the Keyshards they're looking for and for a way to enter the ruins. He saw one of them pocket a map and they head for the exit.
• Ron ran outside quickly to inform the others and they come up with a hasty plan to ambush them outside.
• Kaxxa pretends to be drunk and spills his drink on one of them causing a scene where it appears that he is thrown back into Bruise. Bruise throws him back into the Masks and he casts his spell that creates a thunderous blast for the beating of his wings.
