Session 71: Gunfight at Dry Gulch Report

General Summary

The Scales arrive din Dry Gulch, finding the town deserted, and that they were not the first to arrive. Evidence of Angeliques gang were evident, but none could be scene. The began to cautiously move forward, Indalell deciding to sneak around the side instead of going up main street. Ayrien would hear in her mind, clearly from a sending spell, "You ready Bitch?" Ayrien would almost growl back, "Always." Her answer came with the ringing of a rifles shot, and its bullet piercing Ayrien. Along with the bullet came a potent Hex, to which she was able to resist. Ayrien would rush forward using the alcoves of shops along the street for cover as she sent arrows back and kept low for cover as bullets flew past her. The other Scales would slowly follow her down the street keeping an eye out for any trechery.  

As Ayriens arrows sank home with some devastating effect, Angelique who was struggling to line up her shots would descend from the chruch bell tower she had set up on and drank a healing potion. Indalel would make his way into the back door of a building and find two men waiting guns in hand. He would draw his own silenced pistols and make ready to fire on them when Longwei burst thru the door getting shot by the two men. Indalells pistols would fire dropping one of them while Longwei flew into action with a flurry of powerful kicks. Angelique would trigger some set charges as several places along the sidewalks of the town would explode, one catching Ayrien. Adalon who had been flying overhead would suddenly come under fire as a band of Kholo armed with Riffles and lead by one with a hunting longbow took aim on Thirhy. Angelique would fire from the lower level of the Church with little luck, however a massive autmotan would roll out and fire its cannon on Ayrien. The massive shot would strike hard and she would duck into an Alley to try and stop the bleeding. Ismaril and A'lar would spring into action finding two bandits on their side of the street. Ismarils blade would dispatch him while A'lar began to sing a haunting song to inspire terror in their foes.  

Adalons drake would come under volley after volley eventually collapsing as it landed, falling unconscious but not before Adalons magical implements would dispatch the band of Kholo Raiders. Angelique would leave the church and move around its side to engage Adalon as well, Ayrien having vanished. The automaton let loose a flurry of bullets from its various gun ports, then its whirling blades would spin as it moved to engage Longwei who had started back down the street having defeated his foe. Ismaril also dispatching her adversary would use her mind to fold space and time appearing in the church looking for Angelique not having seen her leave the church. A'lar would summon the souls of all those tormented by the raiders and bandits to return the favor. One would drop everything and flee while the Kholo Hunter, Shaman and Angelique would be shaken by the experience. Ayrien would navigate the back alleys finding her way into a room with a window looking out to where Angelique was firing on Adalon. The elf bandit would spin dropping her riffle and drawing Black Adamantine Pistols firing into the window and sinking several bullets into Ayrien. Adalon would be bogged down among his downed drake as the Hunter poured arrow after arrow into him and the Shaman attempted to turn him with various spells. The duel had turned into a full on shoot out, with the Scales fate balancing on a knife point.
