Session 14: Im just a Tailor Report

General Summary

The remainder of the day would go on mostly uneventful. The Scales on their various outings into Auretus would keep an eye out for the Mage, Indalell had identified from the hatchery attack but with little luck. A'lar would pay the Arcanum Polytechnic a visit. Interacting with their Illusionary construct, he would identify their unknown mages identity. One Galadron Ithilgorn, former professor and now Archmage of house Aelindon, finding he had an apprentice who still teaches there. A'lar would pay Serendipities Cartogropher a visit next. Finding her at the play house before it was time for him to do some street performings he would strike up light conversation around her play. He would finally move to discussing an oportunity to meet Galadrons former apprentice, Elweniel. Gaelira promised to see what could be done to help her fellow Fate Scribe. A'lar would take up his place in the Festival Row and give an illusionary show in a comedic fashion of a Copper Dragon enacting the exploits of the Scales of Fate over the last weeks. Ismaril would appear in the crowd to watch his performance, before moving off with Idrial to take in the nights festivities. Ayrien and Adalon would take in the play recommend by A'lar, Infinite Dream, both enjoying it, Adalons faith in the goddess of Fate perhaps even more moved by it. Longwei would seek out a good cup of tea in the city and be left somewhat disappointed tho he would not mention it to any who asked.

Indalell would take the form of a Gold half dragon and begin to search for places of Vice to find the Lady Seraphina. With suprising success he would find her at his second stop of the night at a high end Card Table. Convincing the pitboss of his great lineage and buying his way into the 500gp pot, Idalell introduced himself to the other players, paying special attention to Seraphina. It was evident many of the high end card players were here to try and win some favor from the beuatiful half dragon Lady Seraphina, but in the end most ended up losing coin to her. In a particular high stakes moment between Indalell and Seraphina, he would palm one of the coins identifying him as an agent of house Starfall into his bet. Then losing the large pot to her, he would sit back and enjoy the remainder of the game. After another hour or so, Seraphina would call it, being up significantly, Indalell being down a little, and she would invite him to come have a drink with her, happy to accept Indalell in his half dragon form would extend his arm to her. Taking it the two would make their way to her private booth. Ordering drinks from what appeared to be her personal servant rather then house staff, she would lean in with a sultry look and whipser to Indalell, "You are playing a dangerous game, give me a good reason to not gut you here." The sharp tip of a blade pressed into his ribs as she snuggled up close to him, as far as any on lookers would think. Indalell surprised would quickly explain he was searching for his mentor who had gone missing in the city, posing as Elharik a guard for House Aelindon. Seraphina would challenge him to answer a personal question concerning his mentor and having given the right answer, Seraphina would relax returning her hidden blade to its proper place. Their talk would banter about the disapearence of Elharik for some time as they enjoyed their drinks, having little to offer as to what happened to him, as she went to depart she would give him a kiss on the cheek and speak softly, "You should visit my personal Tailor Elim, I think he will have something that will fit you just right for this situation," and with that make her way out of the card den.

The next morning Indalell would suggest at breakfast that Ismaril should come with him to have a new dress made while he had a conversation with this tailor. Ayrien would pushing her food about her plate would mutter "I could use a new dress." The others would turn not quite hearing, A'lar speaking up, "What was that now?" Ayrien would shake her head some, "What, eh nothing..." A'lar would smirk a bit, "Indalell, take both the ladies, they should have some new clothes I should think!" Adalon would nod, "That sounds wonderful." Ayrien would flush slightly but nod excited at the prospect. A'lar would grab Longweis shoulder, "We shall go have a look around this House Aelindon and see if simply knocking will work!" Indalell taking the shape of the half dragon from the night before would lead the ladies, and their escorts to the tailors shop. There they would find a Elim, an older Sylvan elf with pale blond hair making a bit of a fuss coming out of the back. After explaining they were sent by Seraphina he would nod and smile, "Ah yes, she was just here and told me of you, Curious do you believe in coinsidence?" Indalell would ponder and eventually answer yes, to which Elim would grin, "Ah so do I, I just dont trust it, come along ladies lets see what we can find for you." Idrial would remain up front to keep watch, Elim would have the ladies dress down to just their under garments as he brought out two mock ups to try one, one a Coathardie that came off the shoulders and a long high slit and the second a shorter dress in elven stylings. Ayrien was fond of the coathardie while Ismaril gravitated to the shorter dress, while Ayrien requested it in a deep purple. Elim would smile, "Beauty like treason is in the eye of the beholder, tell me," looking to Idalell, "Do you believe in truth?" He would take several more measurements and then nod having them redress. Indalell would grapple with the question, "Like facts, or personal truth?" Elim taking out some fabric and beginning to cut "I dont believe in Truth, it is an excuse for a lack of imagination, and why I much prefer the strait and narrow of cutting cloth." Their banter would continue for some time as Elim danced around Idalells questions clearly poking at him and gauging what he could of him. At the end Elim would tell Idalell he had not "seen" his mentor for some time, that he was attacked by house Aelindon when his delegation crossed into Aureate, posed as Frostblood, his mentor infiltrated their ranks and eventually replaced Elharik. He however pushed to hard and fast and was discovered, the Aelindon's now having magical devices to divine his shape shifting powers, and that Idalell would need to work on gaining his own entry to finish the job. Elim would tell them to return in 2 days for the dresses and perhaps more information about the missing spy.

Longwei and A'lar moved towards the holdings of house Aelindon. Their portion of the city a very industrialised segment making arms and armor to supply their military efforts. The main compound was high walled and clearly a former dragon palace. A'lar on a whim approached the gate guards and inquired if Galadron was in. Finding he was not the guards offered to take a message but A'lar declined. With that the two found a halfling food cart and got pulled meat sandwhiches slathered in the tangy halfing sauce to bring back to the others. As the group discussed the days happenings they decided they needed to meet the Queen, and the coming festival of Summersfinding seemed perfect. Seraphina was contacted and promised to get them invitations with little effort being important guests for the Ary, and A'lar thought it best he and Longwei got some new clothes, they too paid Elim a visit and were able to get on his list for something to be done in the next few days. With 3 days till the festival the Scales decided to aquire appropraite gifts and make ready to attend the Festival of Summers Finding on the full moon of Fading Spring.
