Throughout the years Halinde maintained an understanding with Abyssal forces, using summoned allies to vie for position and stature amongst Halinde's elite. As demons became more demanding and threatened to become a leading force without those that summoned them, some noble houses began to separate from the norm, decrying the use of Abyssal power. This remained the status quo for many years, until recently. The royal family executed or disappeared, Abyssal forces gaining more of an upper hand, along with the sycophantic houses that capitulate to them.   One house remains the most vocal against the use of demonology. House Eldrin made their stand, eliminating the use of summoning Abyssal creatures from their lands. They still thrived, some would say became more successful and more wealthy without the use of Abyssal power. As the Royal Family crumbles, Eldrin finds themselves still with a number of allies, but with wolves at the door as well. Lord Malakar, head of the house Malakar stands as Eldrin's chief rival, heavily steeped in Abyssal power. Most think that it is only a matter of time before Malakar acts.....
