Quest for the fishy Orb Report

General Summary

Reaping 1833 AoM in the city of Myth Adofaer, Arcaniss, Zhakar   Snow and Kecik head to the house of Golarion to recruit his aid in retrieving Snow's lost trinket. Snow has heard that the trinket has been bought by a renowned collector of magical things in town. Aeson Thephine has a house in the Middle Ring district of town.   Golarion spends the day doing some scouting and discovers that members of the Guardians of the Horde guild have been hired by Aeson Thephine to protect his property. A through investigation shows a potential way to access the second floor from a balcony overlooking a small courtyard on the back side of the house.   Later that evening the three meet up at The Hare and the Hellhound and make their final plans before heading to the house. They manage to slip past the outside guards and gain entry to the study on the second floor. Lucky for them the master of the house seems to be out for the evening and they begin looking around, searching for the vault and/or the Orb. During this investigation Golarion finds the key to the vault in one of the upstairs studies.   Their investigation begins to go sideways when one of the guards spots Golarion and Snow in the hall. Golarion manages to convince the guard that they were hired to test the defenses of the house and that snow should be allowed to finish her "test" of the other guards while the two of them go down stairs to show that the guard had caught the intruders. However as the guard is leading Golarion away snow tries to get the vault key from him and is noticed by the guard, who protests saying they need to give that back. This leads to Golarion shooting the guard killing him with a well placed crossbow bolt through the neck.   Faced with a body to hide, blood on their hands and no idea where the vault or Orb are the party quickly stashes the body in a nearby room and heads downstairs. Unfortunately for them the downstairs area is better guarded and they are spotted almost instantly. what fallows is a blood bath as the party slaughters the guards with acid, crossbow bolts and cranial explosions. In the end 8 members of the Guardians have been killed. Kecik find the orb floating in a small indoor pool, and returns it to snow.   Orb retrieved the party makes a hasty retreat heading for the backdoor as they go the screams of two young girls fill the halls of the house grabbing the other guards attention and allowing the party to make their escape. They hurry back to Golarion's house with the Orb, the vault key and a few other items stolen from the house or taken from the guards.   Golarion instructs the two to stay at his house tonight, claiming that they lost track of time and did not want to head home so late in the night and decided to stay, heading home in the morning.
