  • Zufadel

Spanning the Northeast of Pelinar's second largest continent Zufadel is the ancient stronghold of the Dwarves. It has since been folded into the Magnorad Empire. The Queen's Law seldom reaches to these humble back waters. Largely the humans who settle this land are seen as either dull or lacking industriousness. With only 2 large port cities, Markgar and Churian, the entire province is rarely considered by those of power and consequence. The northern reach of Zufadel are perpetually icy, reaching briefly in the summer to positive temperatures, and brutal freezes are constant in winter.

Boardered on the northeast by the Frozen Wastes and on the south easy by the Sorching Wastes there is little travel that crosses the Khalidma Mountains. The west of Zufadel is entirely boardered by the Sparkling Sea which also wraps around the southern coasts.

Coastal mountain ranges start with the Aradimedes, these tall peaks feature the last remaining settlements of the Iron Dwarfs. Along these mountains to the south are a number of jagged rocks in the Sparkling Sea known as the Crown of Vriknar, the legendary first King of the Dwarfs.

Across the north of Zufadel is Ledyanoy Klyk range. These mountains for majestic fjords that play home to the Salt Dwarves. The deep fjrods carve directly into the feet of the mountains with shocking deep water harbors. They are incredibly difficult to navigate without proper equipment in a standard draft vessel, hence the Salt Dwarfs use of the "Barrel Boats"

Nearly the entire interior of the province of Zufadel is the Great Forest, known as Dremuchiy les by the Gold Dwarfs or Sigsimund's Forest by its human inhabitants. Dense forst swallows nearly all the landmass of Zufadel. It is very sparsely populated. With no real roads leading to the inland much further than the coast. This is a wild place. It is entirely possible to get lost and no one would walk across your bones until they are long since dust.

Journeys in the Dark

After having found an ancient tunnel in the back of a cave the group of dwarfs travelled deep under the earth. Days of travel ended with the group confounded by a door. It was old, it seemed rusted. But oddly this room seems to be more humid that the tunnels that lead up to it.   After several attempts to open the door a combination of...something? seems to have pried it free of its moorings. Now the adventurers we in a series of hallways covered in mosses, lichens, molds and fungi. Some of it so large that it learned to fist bump. At least, it probably has something to do with it size. I mean...normal sized mushrooms don't fist bump.   What lies next for our band of dwarfs? What about those ancient statues that didn't seem to age? Is everything okay with that wall that Aralyn hit? What lays beyond the next bend?

Session 0: The World and Everything in it

We're going to be covering a few things. Mostly about the history of the Dwarfs, which in itself is a history of Pelinar.   After that we'll be using a lot of our time making a party.   Though we know some of the details of the party already (mostly Dwarfs, reaching for an ancient homeland that we are looking to recover). There are a lot of other ones that we'll be making out together.

Once, many lifetimes ago in an age before the dawn, the Dwarfs, the Baradflok, woke from slumber. They forged in rock, metal, and jewel the finest halls of all of the world.   That world was great and beautiful and terrible. It was a world apart. Until one day the sky was split and the dwarfs saw the stars. Their world would never be the same.   As time passed, the world broke and broke again. The War of Hammer and Anvil finally ended with the Breaking of the World. In the breaking the greatest creation of the Dwarfs, the Great Kingdom of Erebror, was annihilated. Its people were scattered and were left to rebuild themselves, leaderless and broken.   The Dwarfs became 6 people. First the Stone Dwarfs, those who carry the tradition. Second the Jewel Dwarfs, those who carry the spirit. Third the Gold Dwarfs, those who carry the intellect. Fourth the Salt Dwarfs, those who carry the ferocity. Fifth the Iron Dwarfs, those who carry the strength.   There was a sixth, the people of Erebror. Those who had survived. Ancient descendants of those few who survived The Breaking and crawled to the surface. Leaderless and lost the roamed Pelinar and now they are all gone. The last, Thenmough Flintmane Last of His Kin, was lost among the ruins of his people.   At his passing the 5 kindred were brought together in mourning. They knew that this time must come, but dreaded its approach. He was the last link to Erebror, and he has passed.
