Session 9: What now? Report
General Summary
Drogomir having staked and decapitated the Vampiress would take the body next dragging it before a window and casting the curtains open, ensuring its final demise in the light of they day. Ulric would rummage thru the remains finding a master set of keys to the castle while Drogomir would take interest with her writing desk. A letter from the enigmatic V was there. "It seems this V fellow is displeased with her machinations and wishes her to get on with the business of finding your brother," he would offer handing the letter to Katarina. She would glance at the script not knowing Ruthoslava to understand the writting there in. Next they would strike out across the third floor to see if the nobles could be found. Instead all that could be found was their likely remains, and the remnants of a completed ritual that drained their very souls. As Drogomir and Darius studdied the ritual and the remains, Clonk would tug on Katarinas coat tails, offering up to her a fine silver bracelet he had 'found' with a toothy goblin grin. She would half smile and ask, "What is this?" The goblin would smile wider somehow, "Gift!" he would exclaim in improving imperial. Adelaide during this time would have found an alchemical lab and been busy sifting thru formula books and taking samples of the strange mutagen that was incomplete within the lab.
As they made their way down to the second floor they would find a viewing room of the noble families historical relics, but no pieces of true power. As others looked into this Ulric still in his werewolf form would open the door to a study, where the Vampire Jannik would be seated playing some cards. The younger vampire would glance up at the woflman, "The mistress is upstairs and in some level of trouble, you should rush to her aid." Nodding Ulric would close the door and alert the others. As this occurred Jannik would motion to his two Graveknight guards to move up and flank the door. As Ulric and the others burst thru, he would receive a devastating sword blow but soon they would have flooded into the room to deal with the Vampire and his guards. It was a quick but brutal fight, Jannik dominated Ulric to protect him while he turned invisible to flee. Drogomir however would not allow this, his esoteric lantern shedding light upon even that which could not be seen and Adelaide destroyed the vampire with a fiery explosion of one of her bombs, while Pozake and Katarina's blades cut into the Graveknights. Darius's divine light would undo the undead, and the exhausted group would sigh in relief narrowing succeeding at stopping Janniks escape. Drogomir would give the same treatment to Jannik before they snuck out the way they had snuck into the castle.
Back at the Wolfsden they would be greeted by Casimir who had just arrived with men of the forest. He was set to bring order to the city and claim the throne that was rightfully his, however a hoard of undead were rampaging in the wood and the Wildborne had been driven into the hinterlands where they now raided and burned. Pozake agreed to help by rallying the remaining loyal guards for this final push. Drogomir would order drinks for all to toast to the Visellas demise, the murder of his family. Pozake and the others would drink with him, leaving decisions of coups and fighting the monsters of the world till after they had a chance to sleep.
