Season 3: Session 10: Enter The Crypt Report

General Summary

Date: The Month of Intuition 16th, 997 AC (Friday)   Deciding to head to the crypt right away, the party follows the blueprint description to a church outside of town. While most of the party goes inside to investigate, Grandad hears a familiar ringing of a bell and walks off to the wooded area behind the church. In the center of a clearing, he sees a mossy, stone archway with a copper bell on a twisted branch. He rings the bell and steps through a green glowing portal.   Inside, Thia gets Cecil up to the bell at the top of the tower and he begins to ring it. He look out the windows and sees a green glow coming from the woods. The party leaves the church and finds the archway in the clearing. Grandad reappears in this archway after a quick stint at the mountain range archway overlooking Little Town.   The party takes turns going back into the portal and give the description to the crypt. Cecil doesn't focus quick enough and is forced through a different archway. The light is blinding, a voice booms "get out" and he is forced back into the archway. He gets spit out in the crypt entrance, and realizes he is blind.   The door to the crypt entrance has already been opened. Inside there are a number of shelves holding royal family artifacts, and there are a number of gold cast statues wearing jade bracelets along the back wall.   Minzy and Kobble attempt to take off a bracelet and awaken 4 undead former royals. The party fights off as more of these undead creatures awaken, each is able to get a jade bracelet during this. They were able to find the pressure plates in the room that open a secret door behind the original 4 statues. They work together and get in, closing the door.   In this room there is a lift platform. Thia sends out a magic eye to scout ahead. Down the shaft and through a cave walkway, the space opens up into a cavern. There is a set of double doors in the center, to the right there are two pathways. Down the right there is a tabaxi sitting and eating, down the left there is single door.   The party descends and begins investigating. They go to the door down the left pathway and open into a room with a dead rat in the center of a rune circle. After a bit of messing around, they exit this space. Down the walkway, the tabaxi is standing, waiting for them.   The tabaxi, Jasper, lets them know a goblin has already entered into this space. Hasn't come out yet. Jasper returns to their camp and ignores the party.   The party investigates the double doors and opens into a marble floor hallway. There are 7 doors, three on each side wall, and 1 double door at the end. Above the door there are 6 lanterns, one of them is lit. Below this double door there is the body of the orc who also compete in Little Town. He was stabbed multiple times and bled out.   The party decides to take a long rest to recoup, and Cecil awakens with his vision restored. Down the cooridor, Sunny and her companion, Willow Mist, arrive to begin investigating. Each is sporting a jade bracelet.    Back in the hallway, Kobble starts opening doors. The first on the right is actually just painted stone, the space correlates to the seperate door down the left path. The next door opens into a torture room, the next after that into a room full of money. Across the hall the room is full of bones, then the center door has 2 suits of armor. Kobble was closing all of the doors, but he leaves the suit of armor room open. He's about to go to the next door when torches light above the armor and the suits animate. They begin moving forward and swinging their weapons.   TO BE CONTINUED...
