Season 3: Session 25: Leaving the Castle

General Summary

Date: The Month of Intuition 28th, 997 AC (Wednesday).   After Grandad leaves through the portal, Kobble destroys the arch, pockets the copper bell, and goes back to the castle to unfreeze time.   Kobble gives the watch to Thia to hold onto. The group decides to return to Little Town; Thia gives Cecil the watch and he tapes it under the throne room chair. He tells this to Righteousness, who is staying behind to begin redecorating.    Kobble lends Hector his mask to allow him to travel with the group covertly.    Kobble rebuilds the portal and the group all return to the Little Town portal; Nickle and Knuckle are guarding it and watch as Cecil and Mimzy roll down the cliff. The group goes into town together and sees that the Kilstrom guard are packing it up.   The party, with Hector, go to the hospital to see Opal. Her condition is much improved and Hector talks with her about leaving Little Town and finding a new home, in another nation.   Thia steps aside to speak with Sheriff Marcus. She addresses her concerns about Hector and his past as the Crazed Mage. Marcus believes without his powers, Hector is just a man, and he has the right to move on. Cecil comes in and tells Marcus that Riktor town has burned down, but the citizens should be coming into town soon. Marcus excuses himself to speak to the Mayor on this issue.   Thia decides to return home. Kobble returns to his home as well; with Mimzy in tow.    Cecil goes to Captain Risingsun and proposes that he become the "watch-keeper" and reside in the mountain castle. She says she will sent a message to the Kilstrom Royal Family with the request.    Cecil returns home to rest.    Far away in Advig, Grandad is on a mission to save his family and take down Lord Varion who has slowly been taking over the country. He follows a patrol, finds Lord Varion and turns him into a crisp with lightning magic. He convinces most of the soldiers to follow him and after a rest they ride off to the capitol, Forium, to take control and free the prisoners.    Date: The Month of Intuition 29th, 997 AC (Thursday).   In the morning, Captain Risingsun visits Cecil and delivers a letter from the Kilstrom Royal Family. They have accepted his role as a "watch-keeper" as a temporary solution; they will revist the topic in more detail once things have settled. Regardless, they agree the watch to stay in the mountain castle, and the castle belong to Cecil. Cecil goes to Mayor Willow and informs her of this as well.    Thia goes to speak with the Reverend about the gods and their relationships with sorcerers.    Kobble takes a much needed day of rest, enjoying his rocking chair and a calm atmosphere.   The day goes on in Little Town, with little happening.   Far away in Advig, Grandad reuniting with his family; he ensures they are safe before going and releasing the counsel of Advig. He inserts himself as a temporary counselor in order to combat any additional threats to the nation, with his ultimate goal being to establish a formal military to protect the nation.    Grandad gathers what soldiers he can and leads them through the portal that leads to the Kilstrom church grounds. He joins with the Kilstrom guard, awaiting the assault from the troops sent by Ellisar.   TO BE CONTINUED...
