Season 3: Session 23: Final Face Off

General Summary

Date: The Month of Intuition 28th, 997 AC (Wednesday).   Kobble comes face to face with Hector, who tells Kobble to find Thia, who has the watch, get the scroll, and to not let him see him again. Hector then covers his eyes and begins laughing, staying put on the staircase.    Kobble leaves the castle, yelling "Fire", causing many guards to begin fleeing through the hedge maze. Kobble then waits at the entrance of the maze.    Thia and Grandad, also invisible, go to the hedge maze and go to the statue of Hector at the start. They place the watch in the palm of his hand, and nothing happens.    Cecil goes into the throne room, helps Righteousness pull down tapestries, and then finds James cowering in the kitchen. He convinces James to be his squire (for a great salary) and has James lead him to the hedge maze. They make a pit stop at Ellisar and Cecil takes the red gem necklace off of him.    Kobble joins Cecil and goes to the start of the maze to Thia and Grandad. Placing the necklace in the statue's hand, the hedge maze descends into the ground and makes a clear path into the courtyard.    The party returns to the castle, leaving the necklace, and continues their search for the scroll in the library. Cecil goes to the second floor and goes room to room. In the last room, he enters Hector's bedroom. Words are scribbled everwhere; some key words are: "Scroll, watch, little town, picture frame, scroll, castle scroll."   Thia has Grandad and Kobble both touch the watch, in hopes it will allow them to remember. The party agrees to reset the time loop again and Cecil removes curse on Hector. Exhasperated, Hector tells Cecil to get the scroll before time rewinds.   Back to the beginning, Thia, Grandad, and Cecil are invisible, and flying, in the hallway. Kobble is at the library door and recieves a new note. All party members now remember all loops.    James comes out and distracts the guards, allowing the party to enter into the throne room.   James goes to the kitchen with Kobble and makes some tea.    Thia goes into the dining room and casts "Fast Friends" on Ellisar. They have a pleasant chat about the scroll, and how it is hidden under the throne. Cecil then beheads Ellisar in one fell swoop.    Cecil commands James to clear the throne room of guards with a lie that Ellisar wants them to gather in the courtyard. They all leave.   Cecil goes to the throne and tips Hector out of the chair; he stops laughing. Kobble whispers a joke to James, who repeats it and makes Hector laugh.    Thia goes up to Hector and takes the watch; he stops laughing.    The party quickly flees the throne room and goes into the soldier's dining room to read the scroll details.   Grandad goes over the scroll, saying they need a personal item and a lock of the person's hair. Once together they can read the incantation and lock away Hector's power.    Thia goes into the throne room with her Fate Cutting Shears and snips off a piece of his hair. Cecil tells a joke and makes Hector laugh again.   Grandad combines the items and begins his incantation; Thia banishes Kobble to ensure he does not interfere.    As Grandad finishes the incantation, the hands on the watch stop ticking. A burst of energy enters the room and goes into the watch. The lid of the pocketwatch clicks closed, just as Kobble returns to the room.   TO BE CONTINUED...
