General Summary
“Goood morning it is June 7th 2025, all you early birds & nite owls! In local news: The sheriff’s department is accepting any tips into the disappearance of Audrey Cruise, The Otterwood Amusement Park’s 60th Birthday Bashtacular is Wednesday night, & Summer is coming in HAWT as Eastern Maine enters its 3rd consecutive week under this oppressive heatwave. This has been news minute on WLFS: the HOWL of King County!”
The Father switched off the radio as the headlights swept over the abandoned beach. “Get up. We’re here.” The Boy stirred a little. “Ugh. Mom & Steve never make me get up this early.” “Well Steve’s back in New York & you’re here. So come on and help me get the fishing gear.””Dad I have to pee.” The Father lets out an exasperated sigh and points to a piece of drift wood, one crooked limb rise raised above the surf. The Boy rolls his eyes and leaves the car.
The Boy lets out a scream that shatter’s the morning air. Audrey Cruise has been found.
Wilovan Smith is awoken as the dawn breaks by knocking. His landlord drops by to inform him of a rent increase due to "dog." Oh and to let him know the cops want to talk to him.
That day news breaks that Audrey has been found dead and a vigil is held for her that afternoon at Doc's Diner. Our Galant Garou all show up to offer their condolences & grieve. Well all of them except Hans Schroeder who just wanted a sandwich. Willie Williams, a disgruntled Vietnam vet, asks the lone member of law enforcement there for details about the case. An argument ensues & Willie manages to sway the crowd to turn their ire at the deputy & the Sherrif's office that has a track record of keeping a tight lip about things. The deputy leaves & Willie follows him.
Meanwhile our final wolf, the shy & awkward Stonepad- er
Daisy, tries to sneak into the kitchen but is spotted. Wilovan & Hans recognize her as a lupus born Garou & offer to buy her some food. As they cross in front of the municipal building that house the Sherrif's office they find Willie perched underneath the Sheriff's 2nd story window before he leaps into the parking lot below. He is also Garou. Wilovan goes into speak to the cops while the others continue on to the Turtle Burger!
Once regrouped they all follow Stonepad to her stoney pad in the sewers. Okay its an old abandoned tunnel made of bricks but the word play called to me like a siren's song! Anyway they relay all the facts that they have:
- Audrey's body was found at Gilbert's Strand, a private beach outside of town
- She has a scar on her arm that ties her to a serial killer known as the Weather Man
- Leonard Spencer was found murdered in the woods near Stilson last December also bearing the scar
- The Weather Man's killings occurred between 1999 & 2002 before he was caught & unmasked as local meteorologist Cameron Mann
- He was sent to the state prison in Warren
After some debate the pack decides to head out to Gilbert's Strand to investigate.
