Session 0 Report

General Summary

Our Heroes are a party of 6, the sorcerous Bernice, Druid Marigold Brightleaf, Rouge Percival Swallowtail, Ranger Fenris Thrice Cursed, Noble Fighter Chad Thunderaxe, and Warlock Kain. Their eyes opened and struggle against the midday sun high above. finding themselves in strange company at the bottom of an open pit, with high unscalable walls and spikes pointing down towards them. Old bones about their feet, and a skeleton shackled to a nearby wall. Only a short tunnel leads from the pit to an Iron gate. Percival dextrously used his talons to open the locked iron gate, and the party made their way down a cramped hand-dug tunnel, all the while surrounded by small tunnels leading to the bottom of exhumed graves.   The Party heard voices up ahead, and Kain was able to silently sneak into the next room to view the source. Kain saw a large chamber, well lit by a large brass brazier and various candles, many of which were balanced atop a coffin dangling from the ceiling by roots wrapped around it like some macabre chandelier. In the center of the room was a circle of various symbols and a large table constructed of bones. A Cultist priest stood before it, his arms elbow-deep inside a dedicated corpse. Kain was revealed when Bernice bumped into his back causing them to clatter into a nearby box. The cultist shrieked and removed their hands to point at them, a crystal black as night still clutched in their hand. "stop interlopers!" they shouted.   The combat began with an eldritch blast launched toward the cultists! Missing them, the cultist took the opportunity to say "Fear not! I wish not to waste my magic on you; leave us to our bidding and I will allow you to leave... alive" gesturing their outstretched hand to a doorway benighted with bones. The party not falling for this trap instead let loose more motes of magic, fairy fire, fire bolts, and eldritch blasts peppering the cultists. In the commotion, another cultist revealed themselves from a side room.   Chad instead of choosing violence decided to speak to the cultist, and using a wink and his winning smile he was able to convince the cultist that a fight was not worth while. They snuck into the side room together and closed the door, to wait it out. The cultist named Tim Tinkler gathered his things and pledged his fealty to Chad as thanks for sparing his life.   The head cultist using his fel magic raised the zombie to attack the party. After a short conflict, Marigold, Percival and Kain were bloodied but the cultists were defeated. The party exited the crypt into the midday sun, finding themselves in a quiet cemetery.   End of the session and level up to level 2!

Rewards Granted

2 lesser health potions. (1d4) A Black Crystal, that when inspected closely has moving veins of green pulsing through it. 45gp worth of gold and jewels. A jar filled with rosemary, needles and pins, small animal bones, and red wine. (witch bottle) A vandalized book dedicated to Gamove Goddess of Time and death, it described reversing funerary rights to crudely raise the dead.
