Souls Campaign Session 11
General Summary
Session 11: 31-10-2025
The party takes some time after the fight to investigate the bodies of the Shambling Mounds and find corpses and skeletons inside the vines of the monsters. Saruske gathers all the coins he can find and finds two bottles, one green and the other red, and a leather case.
They stand at the entrance of the wooden walkway of the Bendy Ways. A grand structure that loops, bends and twists impossibly. Saruske strides forward and finds he can walk upside-down on the loops and corkscrews of the strange Fey walkways. Chiki uses his wands to determin they're magical in someway.
Mr Hoot sees the Haregon bandits approach in the distance and they start to close quickly. Saruske starts crawling under the walkways to ambush the creatures. The bandits approach them and demand a toll for passing through the area. An magical or "interesting" item per person. Ozzy tries to reason with them but Saruske jumps out and tries to grapple the leader.
A fight breaks out and hard pressed by the bandits who fight with magic and steel. The tide turns quickly as two of the bandits are killed and Ozzy calls out to the leader to surrender. He agrees and they throw down their weapons. Introducing himself as Agdon Longscarf and his buddy Ollie Fuzzy-Ears.
Agdon explains that he used to be tied to a tree for 800 years by his long scarf and a curse prevents him to take it off. Iggwilv (Tasha) imprisoned him after he tried to steal some of her stuff until Skabatha released him to get his help. He helped the hags steal Tasha's Cauldron, a powerful magical item, although Agdon is oblivious to its power.
He has traded Clapperjaw's skull to Skabatha to get a bigger and lusher rabbit's tail to impress the lady bunnies.
Bavlorna has a balloon that can take them to Hither, the realm of the Nighthag Skabatha. Her cabin is located in the Bullywug village of Downfall. Agdon reveals that Bavlorna has a weakness, called Running Windershins, if you run counter-clockwise in front of her she will get confused and disoriented.
They take the Haregons to a tower nearby where they've stashed their loot. Saruske and Ozzy intimidate them into showing the traps they've setup and Agdon shows Ghost where to get the key to the chests. They find a ring with a purple gem, a set of studded leather armor covered in soft green and blue lines and a pair of sturdy boots which seem magical.
