Session 8: Waverider Report

General Summary

The Waverider initially made peace with the Kzinti Scout ship, but the Kzin are notoriously impatient and fired. It was a devastating attack. The Paris escaped into a cavern system, which the crew determined lead through arteries of caves to the Klingon base.   Moving cautiously forward, they encountered a Kzintoshi (a "kittenzi"). She lead them to a group of Kzinretti, who have been living in a settlement in these caverns for hundreds of years.    With the arrival of the Klingons from the Kor, the Kzin have been warring with the Klingons. They risked sending out a distress signal which drew the Kzinti Scout ship.    The crew negotiated a ceasefire between the Kzin and the Klingons ... a miracle! However, with these two species, battle could break out at any moment.   Worse, the Kzin ship Time's Claw is only 24 hours away from the planet. Since they are from a hostile faction (the Patriarchy), they will likely eradicate everyone they find here. The crew must decide how to save both Klingons and Kzin, while at the same time stopping them from killing each other!
