Chapter 2: The Castaway and the Old Man Report
General Summary
Awakening the next day on 29th of Suramar, the trio found themselves washed away on the shores, their wounds miraculously healed. Looking around them they notice that they are surounded by ruined buildings. Firenze decided to look for flowers in order to venerate his god of wind, finding the perfect bunch of flowers to turn into body paint. In doing this Firenze felt as though he had pleased his god. Not soon after this and elderly man would appear dragging something behind him. The group immidietly began questioning him with the man giving few answers at first. He would initially identify himself as an old hermit and go on to explain that they were most likely attacked by Reinalds Pirates, an elite group of pirates usually hired by very rich and powerful factions. After much persausion and despite his trepedation at the fact Klak and Asenzo were looting washed up corpses, The Old Man then points to the young girl he was dragging behind him and explains that she was most likely the reason why the ship was attacked. Further explaining that the young girl bares the Axe and Chain mark of the ancient rulers of Lobinny and that she could only be the daughter of the Duke of Lobinny and means that the war which has recently erupted between Lefrank and Lobina is coming to Lobinny. After much frantic raving about the state of the world the Old Man gives the group three maps and shows them that they have washed up in the Ruins of Demat within the Conlan region of the County of Lunates. He then goes on to say that although he could heal the three of them he is unable to heal the girl, and asks them to travel to the village of Skoilh in search of their Shaman who is known to be a strong healer. The trio agree and set off, Firenze looking for food notices a large group of doe grazing in a nearby field, he motions Klak to fire however Klak misses every single time, with Asenzo laughingin the background Firenze let his frustrations get the better of him and he ran after them, also failing misrably and scaring off the entire heard. This comotion however alerted the attention of a group of bandits and their goblin companion. Jumping out while the trio were distracted and charging at them when they encountered Firenze's pathetic battle cry. Their overconfidence proved to be their undoing as halfway through the fight, after seeing Firenze kick the head off of the Goblin and Asenzo melt the face of his friend the bandit would accidentally put his tormented fellow out of his misery with a stray arrow. This would leave the remaining two bandits easy pickings for both Klak and Firenze to take out with their melee weapons, and after a brief fight the battle was won leaving the group to loot the fallen enemies corpses, yielding some copper and a crossbow for Asenzo. Continuing on and after another hour of travel the three adventures would finally arrive at the idilic village of Skoilh, taken aback by the surrounding hills as they entered.
