Session XII: Path to Selfors Report

General Summary

As our valiant adventurers set forth on their journey, their carriage laden with provisions and drawn by three sturdy horses, they soon find themselves beset by the capricious whims of nature. The first leg of their journey is plagued by inclement weather, slowing their progress through the rugged terrain.   One fateful day, amidst the tempest's fury, they chance upon a grisly scene—a wrecked wagon, its occupants grotesquely slain, their heads cruelly torn asunder. A grim omen of the perils that lie ahead.   Venturing deeper into the wilds, they traverse a treacherous expanse teeming with malevolent fungi, pursued by ravenous rot beasts hungry for their flesh. Through skillful navigation and swift maneuvering, they narrowly evade the gnashing jaws of their fungal pursuers.   Under the veil of night, as they keep watch over their camp, they fall prey to an ambush orchestrated by a creature of the fey, its unearthly form striking fear into their hearts. Though bloodied and battered, our heroes rally their courage and fend off the spectral assailant, driving it back into the darkness from whence it came. Yet, even in retreat, the creature eludes their grasp, slipping away into the depths of the forest, leaving behind a trail of uncertainty and dread.
