Puss in boots 12 Report

General Summary

• The party started out exploring the rest of the mineshaft after the broodmother boss fight.
• They went back to the bunkbeds to find some more gold, gems, and memorabilia from the past. 
• The party then went to the end of the dungeon back through the spider lair into an opening where they found Syla in his true form with his spirit bear and IO the wisp. 
• The party learned that in this caved in area resides the last remaining bit of life in the Spider Forest. 
• When Syla planted the world tree 306 years ago it sapped all the life from the now Spider Forest to make the Eldertree and its surrounding forest. 
• The party talked with Syla and also learned about the boots they were searching for on a tabaxi woman named Sheng Ha who had escaped Drow execution after obtaining a relic of Chronarix the time dragon, and receiving clerical powers from that relic. 
• The party then took a long rest. 
• In the middle of the long rest Taldric and Daggoss were the only ones to notice that a mysterious figure was watching over them as they rested. It was Elyndor, or at least what looked to be him. 
• Standing at the top of the cave in about 60 feet up Elyndor stood up and walked away, never taking his eyes off of the party. 
• Weird. 
• The party then proceeded closer to the Forge Union border to eventually find Sheng Ha roaming between the borders. '
• In the background to the South sand storms and lightning could be seen in the Desolate Wastes and in the West a lone Forge Union outpost that has stood the test of time and war on more than one occasion stands with its beacon atop the lighthouse inactive. 
• After some discussion amongst Sheng Ha the party handed her the journal they found in the mineshaft. 
• The journal was written by a tabaxi named Rajah Van Ross (Link to article below)

• Sheng Ha eventually gave the party her boots as they weren't the be all end all of her survival. 
• The party then approached the Forge Union Outpost and exterminated a handful of phase spiders with some well placed fireballs from Daggoss.
• We end the session with the closed doors of the Outpost staring down the party, taunting them.
