Session 25: Skyfall Near Nadigav

General Summary

Having Returned to Nadigav the group finds themselves in "Den Smilende Ko" once again, ready to eat drink and be merry, not long after Alrund joins with some wine from the house cellar to hear what then crew have achieved in their recent foray northwards, and if they managed to get the forgestone from Gismose. 
  After a long explanation, Alrund invites the party to join him and Feranot Lescaille again after the party is well rested.  Just starting to get really drunk the Party agrees, and then gets the latest news from the Tavernkeeper Beodur. Apparantly an Astrapisome had fallen in the latest storm, carried Sunward from the strong winds, and crashing to the ground in a Skyfall. These can be quite dangerous as the body is beset by weird and magical parasites that quickly digest the dead astrapisome, though it also contains valuable treasure and materials. 
  The group decides to head out first thing after meeting with the Lescailles. 
 

  Nursing a hangover they find themselves again in the cellarroom beneath the Lescaille manor, infront of the Amber Counciller Feranot LEscaille He thanks them for their service, though dissapointed they did not get the forgegem from Gismose, he is happy that it too has found itself to Bjerglys, very close to nadigav, and out of Tripalkin reach for now. He describes the next part of their plans, and they learn a bit more of the Ascension to the amber council, and how the Carminian Election works. 
  The plan is still the same: get all of the pieces of the Ocean heart, and do it before the Tripalkins have gained acess to them. Feranot says they are still working on on identifying the location of the other pieces, besides the ones they know the location of and are out of reach such as the Amethyst stolen by Elva. 
  With no immediate task foisted upon them they head out for the Astrapisome.  A few days later they are getting close to bjerglys, and can see the body of the Astrapisome spread as across the mountain, as they make their way closer they meet the caravan of the "Kurv og Kølle Karavanseri" with a wagon full of salt headed away not towards bjerglys, the crew badly injured and telling them of strange beasts that attacked them. 
  It is decided that -Thordunn stays behind to protect them and tend to them, while the rest goes in and extracts all they can from the Astrapisome and clear a way through to bjerglys. 
  The Skyfall is a mighty sight, while the diameter of the creature usually only visible high in the sky during storms, is over 50 meters across, the length is unfathomable, draped gracefully across the visible valley on either end, likely continuing for many kilometers. An electrical energy fills the air, and the party sees the monsters feasting on the corpse of the astrapisome, wierd wingless floating creatures seemingly blinking in and out of existance, great hills of moving slime, and wormlike things burrowing  through the translucent electrical flesh of the Astrapisome. 
  within it they also see the great round nodules know to be invaluable for many magical applications, so driven by greed, and a little curiosity they move in to engage.
  The fight is hard, painfull and climbing through an astrapisome flesh proves to be a quite acid affair, but they not only manage to defend themselves, but also cleave and blow a way through the body, while collecting some of the nodules. When contacting the air these shrink massively in size, a curious but usefull feature. 
  Circling back, to pick up Thordunn and the caravan, they move once again towards Bjerglys, hoping to meet Ribhus and inform him of Gismoses plan to move here.
