  Kokomi discovered that Mek’s choice to stick by the Dreadhorn was born of sentiment and that the crew really had no hidden redeeming qualities. They ambushed Jewel and killed her, but not before she attempted to bargain for her life by selling Marcos out.
  They returned to the Dreadhorn with Wav disguised as Jewel. Marcos’ initial confidence faded quickly, an expression of surprise and fear was the last thing his face held before his head was severed. With Kantale and his loyalists gone, the crew must turn to Mek for the information on Bapha Kain….
