Wild Weregoose Chase

General Summary

The Party accepted a notice on the board that told of a farm near to the town which had all it’s livestock killed. Richard Oswin needed help with solving who or what would do this as when they bought in new animals, they were slaughtered too.   Deciding they needed proper transport, Matrim Harperly and Corbyn Chuzzle hired a horse each (Matrim naturally taking a Shetland) while Thane Swiftglade travelled on a galloping Veylin the Untamed's back.  

  When the Fab Four arrived at the farm, Farmer Oswin shows them the first two piles of livestock that had been slaughtered, one which he had piled high and rotting, while the other had been burned to a crisp.   Oswin told the party that he had invested the last of his savings in new animals, which were slaughtered no more than 36 hours before. He showed them to the barn where blood is everywhere, including the fresh carcasses. They look ripped apart by claws and teeth. And some of the claw scratches seem larger than others.   Veylin spoke with the Oswin family dog, who simply said that it's master, it's alpha, was Richard and he was the boss and had to be followed.   Further investigation of the barn showed a trail of blood that lead into the woods. This drew the attention of the group to the woods, following the trail until the path lead them to a small cabin, where they were ambushed by wolves!   The group defeated the wolves, but were watched by the apparent leader of the pack, who then calmly walked off into the forest without engaging in the battle.   Corbyn sent Gerald (the racist raven) to fly and high above and track the wolf while the party investigated the cabin.   Inside the cabin, they will found a skeleton in torn clothes, blood, five silver throwing knives, human bones and two healing potions.   Gerald then reported back that he was tracking the wolf until he lost it, near to the Oswin Farm!   The party dash back to warn the farmer about what’s going on, but under the full moon the farmer, his wife and son transform into werewolves!   A fight ensues, and Matrim and Corbyn used the silver weapons to kill the werewolves but when they died they transformed back into humans...with Richard gargling how they were supposed to be the next feast.   Not long after, the group found 80GP in a crate as well as a gold necklace and a pouch of holding.
