• Amy Lagos
  Friend of Ramoni Cajal who was first given the psyche as a test along with Mary. She is soft-spoken and avoids eye contact.
• Elizabeth (deceased) Stratford
  She was going to fail until Mary told her about the disembodied psyche. When she passed, this drew the attention of Penny Monet. She said she knew something was up. If Elizabeth didn't share her secret, she would tell the professor and they might get expelled. If she did, she would even give put in a good word and introduce her to Mark (Elizabeth's crush). She died after the dismbodied psyche latched onto her causing Ramoni to fling her against a wall with his telekinesis, thus preventing the escape of the psyche.
• Emily (deceased) Chapel
  A stuck-up rich girl who flaunted her True-Liberio brand bag. She died at the study group event after the deranged disembodied psyche ripped open the top of her skull and devoured her brain.
• Hawthorne
  Hawthorne is a 2ft tall halfling with spiked black hair and wears a large backpack over his leather cloak. He and Rufus belong to a sheltered clan of forest halflings just east of Helburg.
• Jane Willow
  A journalist for Altbrook Press. She has long brown bangs and a ponytail. She was present at the Devero Theater Incident
• Mary Salinas
  Best friend of Amy. She is shorter with black hair ad bangs. Friends with Elizabeth (deceased) and invited her to the "study group" with the disembodied psyche to help her struggling grades.
• Oscar Yoren
  This malfeasant wizard fled the Amethyst Academy ten years ago. Oscar Yoren has since taken up residence on the north side of Drakkenheim in Reed Manor, and survived on the outskirts of the city through his grim intellect, ruthless self-interest, and willingness to practice unsavoury forms of alchemy and necromancy. Several other outcast mages have since joined him as apprentices. Oscar Yoren is a short, wide man in his mid-fifties. He wears slovenly leather breeches and a filthy black overcoat. He has shoulder-length greasy black hair and a thick beard of wiry unshaven hair creeping down his flabby neck. His skin is covered in sores and pasty blotches, with bulging blood veins under his neck. His sunken bloodshot eyes glare with a purple green light. He has yellow teeth and fingernails.
• Penelope Monet
  A student at Altbruke University who is widely regarded as personable, attractive, charasmatic. She comes from a wealthy family out of Drannsmund and holds various leadership responsibilities at the university. She persuaded Elizabeth (Deceased) to share the secret of the study group. She then invited her friends Annie and Emily (deceased) to the most recent study group where the psyche lost control. Ramoni the Alienist blanked out their minds concerning this event and she has forgotten the event.
• Professor Barnabas Dunsley
  He is a quaint rotund fellow with curly brown and grey hair and mustache, about 5'4" and wears professional green overalls, a brown tweed jacket, cream-color shirt with red checkered pattern, and polished black shoes. His ensemble is accented by a lavender polka dotted bow-tie and perfectly circular bifocals. After years as a successful adventurer, he assumed the role of the professor for various classes in the Arts and Humanities Departments. He is well-known for his eccentricity and friendly behavior.
• Ramoni Cajal
  An unusual masters student attending Altbruek studying the practices of Alientology. He was responsible for creating the dismbodied psyche which he gave to Amy and Mary for research. While he laments the events of the study group, he sees himself as innocent as they did not use it as he had instructed. He wiped the minds of Amy, Mary, Penelope, and Annie to eliminate traumatic memories.
• Raphael DuPont
  A warm, caring individual who was once an intern of Professor Dunsley. He now lives outside of Helburg in a coastal cottage where he paints and creates sculptures. His paintings recently gained noteriety for his artistic execution of his new art style "idealism." Despite his success, he appeared to disappear as no had seen him for over a month. It was found he had been infusing paints with delerium (obtained through his penpal girlfriend, "Queen") and extracts of his soul to create hyper realistic paintings of landscapes. This process created a thin place through which an extraplanar being possessed him to "help" Raphael create art. He was visited by Ormk, Vox, and Lumen who freed him and helped him recuperate from the long period without food. while under control of the being.
• Rufus Brightfellow
  A halfling with a prominent round nose and spiked sandy blonde hair. He speaks highly of his father and mother who raised him in a secretive halfling clan in a forest just east of Helburg.
• Tom Rose
  Devilishly handsome, tall, well-rounded individual who partially attends Altbruke. He is the nephewof Ludwig von Fritz, the governor of Todsfeld. He says that he has information on technological advancements which will richly reward any early investors.
