Session 5: Regrouping in Axeholm Fortress Report
General Summary
The party regrouped after an arduous adventure thus far through this giant maze. The party has made several keen insights into Axeholm's history and met new supporters to assist them in cleansing the fortress. Despite the party opting to forego removing the Spider queen threat from the lower halls, per Castellan Gilthur's urging request and the assistance of the now supportive minotaur Kalraz, the party begins their journey up to the upper floors to confront the Banshee and the Necromancer. They have been through much to get to this point. Just as the party had made it to the stairs, a divine glow enveloped Gin. Gin is nowhere to be found as the light fades away, and his fate is unknown. The divine intervention could be related to his allegiance to his goddess, Dionysus. But speculation would only delay the more urgent task now before the party. Despite Gin's absence, the party is joined by a jovial bard, Rivia Lionstooth. Despite his bubbly and immensely positive outlook, Rivia has proven to be a well-studied and strategic addition to the party. He hails from a noble family, and the experiences he has gained from his family's business and his collegiate experience have provided Rivia with much to add to the party's strengths and cover some of their weaknesses. As the party begins their assent, they begin to feel that the journey is almost over through this portion of their adventures in Axeholm.
