Session 18: Running the Gauntlet Home Report
General Summary
The group has finished their business and decide on the next steps to take. They decide to go to Kysa Córa and move on from there looking for a sword. After getting on another boat and traveling back onto some land, the group comes across some people. One of the leaders of those people confronts the group and asks why they got off the ship there. Alice says they are hunting a strange dragon, and a purple lady. The group lets them go saying to beware of the deep forests or Leshy will get them. Alice wants to get to speak to Leshy but can't. Seems he's quiet and no rites exist to get him. She is warned again how dangerous a creature h is. They bunk down in the nearby inn, and Magnar sees Annabelle dancing (Archi is invisible and moving the doll). Magnar goes drinking some hard liquor getting drunk in the process. Archi goes upstairs after seeing Magnar and finds someone in Arne's room. They throw a spiked chain at the door frame, and eventually Arne's name is mentioned. Archi gets Arne to go up who quickly identifies it as a Shadar-Kai. He turns invisible and hides, conracting the rest who stumble up to the room, and they case the Shadar-Kai out the window after Arne has Darkness cast on her. They track her down to near the edge of town, with the help of a summoned Shadow Mastiff. Magnar has the Fly spell cast on him and carries Archie, landing painfully on a fence. Alice sneaks round and then Arne fires an Eldritch Blast at her. They temporarily capture her and she tells them that they don't believe Arne should have the Cloak of Darkest Night and her masters should instead. She then escapes teleporting 30 feet away and running off. They go back to the inn, tidy up and go to sleep. Alice has a nightmare when waking of a hooded purplish Hag and three very ugly women who are stirring a boiling cauldron with a unicorn's horn each. The Hag shows she has the memory crystal containing Alice's memories , and before fading out she calls Alice her toy. Archi gets the feeling at the end that something had been present and it wasn't good, something tied to the murderers of his Coven member.
