Session 43: Finally, a Proposal

General Summary

The group makes it to Weymouth with the chest full of riches and Braya...

Getting as far as Stonehenge, they link up with Tedha, and able to spend the night. Both are happy to see Archi and will make an appearance in Eschbach for a visit some time.

They leave them there and head back to Orleans. Once there the group is stopped by the guards. The guards report that they are checking where people are coming from and traveling towards.

The group gets some lodgings and Archi lets slip that they are from Eschbach. They check out an apothecary that seems to be related to the Picard family and find their supply of poisons are down. Someone there keeps an eye on them.

After that they to to the stables in the south of the city and buy four good horses, and a cart. They

Afterwards they find a way to get safe guaranteed transport out of Orleans. The ruse is that they will use a cart with wood heading to Eschbach. This is along with anything else they can fit in.

When waiting for the paperwork they get a visit in the tavern by Countess Gabrielle de Rais, who plans to meet up with Archi in her manor. She has a proposal and Archi gets very very nervous & tongue-tied.

Archi goes to her the next day and she offers him to become her spokesperson in Eschbach, along with marrying him since her family is interested in her settling down. That and a possible heir is mentioned. She denies that them being occultists are scurrilous lies, and if married, he would get a title, land, money and power.

He leaves not entirely convinced knowing that Duke Grimmaz Fyrwin is likely to give up a citizen of Eshbach to such a scheme.

They quickly flee Orleans before anything else can be sprung on them by Gabrielle.
