Session 2: Looters and Thieves Report

General Summary

After making their way to the Spirit Forest, the party found signs of a struggle and followed tracks to find the woodsman Tomas in a scuffle against a few bandits. Looking hurt and outnumbered, he was desperate and going down fighting. Aid was rushed to him in the form of a raging Knoll and magic casts. After a bloody fight with Tomas barely hanging on to life, the bandit threat was eliminated and Tomas was saved.   With the bandits killed, the party rounded up the remains and spoils, while questioning Tomas on what he knew about the bandits and the surrounding areas. He gave them his personal map to work with and some information about the Cultists and the Fanatics. After learning of a now empty bandit camp, the party decided to use it as a means to sleep and rest for the journey to the city of Vosaura in the next day.   Travelling was without interruption. No one was travelling the main road and only smoke could be seen in the distance. Vosaura was under attack. Grotesque monsters were burning the main buildings in the town square and screams could be heard all around. They sprang to action immediately to dispatch the Fanatic opposition and save whoever was left.
