Session 18: Restoring the Sun Soul

General Summary

After the party clears the ruins of the Sun Tomb, they decide to leave the desert after looting the treasury. On their way out of the desert, the party stops at an oasis that seems similar to them. While they approached, an old woman invited the travelers to invite them to treat themselves to some fresh water. After Mortimer tried to collect some water, he was surprise attacked and the party began to fight them. 
When their companion was killed in two strikes from Mortimer, the remaining Doppelganger pleaded to let him be free and leave. They explained to the party that the King of Ultribar sent them out to the Desert of Power in order to scare people away from the desert but they did not know why. Mortimer and Barack decided that they couldn't let the creature get away to where they could hurt someone else.
After fighting them, Gaia approached the party and told them that she was attacked by a group of Ultribar knights and one of them got away with the book containing the recipe for the cure. The party realized that this was possible since Mortimer sold away the Seeker's Compass to a merchant that must have sold it to the guards. They decided that they would stop by Lowry and then set off to investigate.
