Session 26: Elustria the Death Knight

General Summary

After the fight with Octavius, Mortimer went to the woods behind the bastion where he could have a ceremony to preserve Kevin's body, allowing for him to be brought back to life after two weeks. Jong-O and Lacrosse began repairing the minor damages to the bastion, but they quickly realized that the bastion was going to take weeks to fully repair. Barack went to the casino where he gambled for the whole night, staying in the game hall instead of returning home.
Under nightfall, Jong-O and Lacrosse were not able to notice when the head of the Thri-Keen paralyzed Lacrosse, saying that if the threat of Elustria was not resolved, they would be leaving the Material Plane. If the party returned Skree to them, whether he was poisoned or not, the party could join the colony as it escaped her wrath. Lacrosse agreed and they gave him the antidote before leaving.
In the morning the party realized that the Half-Death had spread to the citizens of Lowry, leaving them as the last ones living on the Scorchlands. Mortimer returned back to the bastion with the corpse of Kevin, keeping the ceremony in tact as well as protecting it in the rest of the home. While in the town, Barack disguised himself as an undead being and watched as the undead were called to swarm the bastion by some unseen force. As this was happening Elustria confronted the other three party members, telling the party that if they did not leave the bastion, they woud be spared. Jong-O stole the notebook from her while under the table and the party set off their master plan.
While Jong-O began to cast a spell to dispell the magic protecting the book, Barack set off the explosives that Elustria had placed on the undead people of Lowry as a way to deter the party from leaving. This lead to Elustria taking a hefty blow as well as killing many citizens of Lowry, and buying Jong-O the time to destroy the journal and making Elustria mortal. The fight was long and difficult but eventually the party was able to kill her.   End Date - 5:17:784
