Session 2: Voyage to Lowry Report
General Summary
After halting the ritual that was being done by the Grave Walkers in the stronghold, the party investigated the statue that was at the center of the cults interest. They realized that this was not a mere statue but a living being petrified by some magical means long ago. Deciding they needed to get back to the fight before they were declared deserters, the party and the other rival adventurers left the stronghold. However, after walking outside they were surrounded by eight cultists and a Leonin warrior named Octavius. After successfully talking the hostiles down, Octavius found himself impressed with their strength and offered the party that if one of them dueled him he would not kill them immediately and the winner would stay on the island. Lacrosse chose to fight Octavius and the others watched on. Lacrosse quickly realized that he was outmatched by the fighter but tried to hold on, resulting in him being knocked unconscious and Octavius entering the stronghold to awaken Elustria. After this, Barak slashed the heel of the Thri-Kreen adventurer to get even and give the party a head start on getting off the island. The fight was over and the party was therefore declared deserters and would need to clear their name on the mainland. They got to the docks of Aqua and after not being recognized as outsiders, they sought out passage back. The Unseen member Misty told Mortimer that if she paid him 20 gp she could easily bring them back but not wanting to lose their gold, the party tried to take a warship for themselves. The party fought well and took out about half of the guards on the ship but after fighting they eventually became overrun. Barak and Lacrosse went down leaving Mortimer as the last one standing. The guards offered for him to turn himself in before they all were executed. However, at their moment of need a young bronze dragon began to swoop down with a dwarf and human on them shouting for the guards to hand them over. The two were Bill and Tobey, persuading the guards that if the party is put in an island prison the army will come back to get them and devastate their forces. After being imprisoned in the mainland village of Lowry, Barak bough his freedom and sought to gamble until he could free the other two members from the prison. While in the prison, Lacrosse and Mortimer noticed that the party had been injected with some sort of poison. Bill inquired about this and Lacrosse knew that the name of the poison was Half-Death and that it would bring them excruciating pain. He was sent to talk to Nerri, a Sun Soul monk who would be able to give him more information on the disease. She said she would collect some information for him but she would have to go back to talk to her in a few days. Mortimer wanted to write a book on the history of Lowry after his interest was peaked by seeing a statue that it was a custom to pee on. He spoke to Moses' widow/baby mother Lyra who has taken up the training of the guards in Lowry. She said that he was a great hero and that he sacrificed himself to help defeat Ohrer but left her to take care of their son alone. After hearing that she may be able to help him, Lacrosse asked her to train him which she agreed to. She tasked Lacrosse to go fight the goblin party that is attacking the Northern Post. Additionally, the son of Moses ran off after hearing that there was a chance for him to be a hero. End Date: 4:7:784
