Session 14: New Royalty

General Summary

After arriving to the mainland, the party makes their way to Lowry where they wanted to recover and make a bit of money from harvesting crops. Additionally, Barack spent some time in the arcane study allowing him to reverse the tracking properties of the Unseen pin and find the original caster that made the pin.
The party decides to meet up with the officials in charge of the Unseen in order to discuss the assassination of Duchess Red of Medley. After arriving the party is ushered into a meeting with Zacherius and Ezekial, the two heads of the Unseen who wanted to thank the party for sticking it to the Tribune. They also tell Mortimer that in accordance with a truce between the Unseen and the Tribune he should stop the killing of the figure heads.
After talking to Bruce, head researcher of the unseen, Barack can sense something strange about the research he is doing an sneaks out of the meeting room. After following Bruce, Barack enters his lab and finds the plans for the Chaos Gate. The gate is a portal powered by stealing the latent magical energy that flows through Barack's blood. Activating the gate caused Barack to change the forces of gravity which allowed him to escape from the lab and back to the meeting.
The meeting allowed Mortimer to ask important questions regarding the possibility of his father being alive. Zacherius and Ezekial used Ezekial's ability to peer into the mind of Mortimer in order to find what has been happening. After entering his mind, Zacherius was separated from Mortimer and the party and trapped in the depths of his memories. The party was chased through Mortimer's memories and discovered that his father was actually dead and the vision of him was a figment of his imagination. His shattered personalities attacked the party and captured Zacherius but the party easily escaped.
