Session 13: Ruler of Labyrinth
General Summary
The party continued cutting their way through Labyrinth after killing Ajax, the mad king that was infected with the Half-Death. They recovered the Abyssal Code and in doing so detonated the very temple designed to protect it. In doing so they nearly killed themselves but were able to use magic and brute strength to keep themselves alive. In order to truly escape the peril, Lacrosse opened the Code himself and used a spell in it in order to save them. In doing so, he also shattered his arms completely putting him out of comission for the rest of the day.
After recovering, the party ventured outward to see the rest of the island, but they unfortunately stumbled upon Octavius Steelheart who had ventured to the island to see what the commotion was about. Octavius and the party battled to the death, leading to him being brutally executed by Lacrosse which completed the last trial of Solar that was given to him by Bishop Jordan. The party then found their way back to Lauren's boat but convinced her that they did not have the Abyssal Code and that the Crimson Academy would need to find a new way to get the Code.
Additionally, using a Sending spell, Ether reached out to Lacrosse and asked him to become the king of Labyrinth saying that he had succesfully dethroned Ajax securing himself as the new king. Lacrosse was warned that the church of Solar does not allow their priests or acolytes to act as any type of government official, especially being king of an island. He accepted the kingship anyways and the party returned back to the shores of Ultribar
