Session 1 Discovering Vault 69 Report

General Summary

With the Rust Devil Raiders Dispatched the Adventurers took a few moments to introduce themselves and gather their thoughts.   Exploration of Vault 69 began in earnest. Dar Israd wanted to find his belongings so he promptly began moving towards what he knew to be the staff Quarters Search turned up some clothing a 10mm pistol and some ammunition. Further search took the group through several living spaces showers, restrooms, and infirmity. As the group approached the Cryo Chambers they stumbled upon the Overseer's office. Chad began working at the computer they discovered some of the logs indicated that the vault had suffered some sort of Sturcutal collapse and this triggered a radiation leak of the main power plant forcing the systems to run on auxuillary power. Chad learned that several of the Cryo chambers where damaged by the collapse killing those inside and those that remained systematically perished as power could not sustain all of them and the chambers expired one by on leaving Dar israd as the only survivor of Vault 69. Further computer hacking granted the group access to the weapon vault where they recovered several vault 69 uniforms and suits a Flamer that was give to Bob and an Energy Pistol for Dar Israd.   The Party then made some repairs to Rusty after the initial tussle with the Rust Devils retrieved two drums of oil from him and an ammo can left by Lafayettes brother inside was a .45 caliber Pipe pistol and a hotel key along with another note. headed toward the State Theater. Upon arrival, Chad introduced the group to Carol Channing the Ghoul Boss that runs the state theater. sitting for a round of drinks. Crow inquired about the flier he Received regarding a recovery job. Carol told the group that a Holographic Projector lense was stolen from the Theater and She Suspected one of the Nearby Raider Gangs had stolen it. She explained that she is often a neutral ground for them and her remaining this way is key to her success. Carol needed outsiders to find it and steal in back for her so her business would thrive. The Agreement was to pay 50 caps and to provide up to 5 days room and board till the job was completed. The group took up the offer acting on a tip that maybe one of the regulars may know as to who possibly took the Projector lense. Focus and information came from a Chem Dealer Named Alice who said that one of her suppliers was boasting about looking for a buyer of the lenses they where an up and-coming raider gang Known as the Vipers that occupied a warehouse on the west side of Modesto not far from the El Viejo Train Station. Alice mentioned a Raider by the Name of "Skink"   After some evening Recon the Group found the Vipers Hideout in a Warehouse just across the Tracks from the Station they noted it was routinely patrolled and even had a Machinegun turret placed nearby. The group decided to set up a rouse to draw out this Skink fellow. Dar posed as a Tweaker looking to score some Daytripper Chems and they left a not at a known deal location hoping for them to come out. The group set up in hidden spots overlooking the Train Station where they had arranged for signals from Dar and Chad to indicate trouble. Skink came with a raider Fround Mouse and met with Dar as the raiders were getting agitated when Dar indicated he did not have the amount of caps needed to make the buy the signal went out and a firefight ensued both Skink and Mouse got taken out pretty quickly and a thrid hidden Raider revealed his location and the group rushed in to take down all the raiders only one survived that was "Mouse" and this is where we left the group with the Interrogation and a Decision.
