Session 1: The World Under Dirt

General Summary

Over a decade after the last campaign, mysterious hooded figures work to break Lowry free from the rule of Dirt, the Hill Giant. First, they approached Gar-Gar, a knight of Lowry, to gather supplies for an expedition that could last a few days. He went to the local tavern to talk to Bart, the tavernkeep, and convinced him to lend the supplies in order to help overthrow Dirt, though it was reluctantly.
Next, Gar-Gar snuck to the mines, where he saw the same hooded figure approaching Dongolicius, a goliath miner who is known for his strength. The figure offered to Dong the chance to leave the mines and prove that he is more than just muscles by opening "the Pickle Jar", an underground vault that holds a powder that is enchanted to knock an individual out for one minute. After finding it, Dong waited in the mines until they were supposed to meet up for the drop off. During this, Gar-Gar tried to investigate the hooded stranger but was caught.
Next, a monk named Clamente, who just recently came to Lowry under mysterious circumstances, was recruited by a shorter hooded figure. They told Clamente that if they wanted to help free the people then he would need to investigate the defences outside of the wall. He scaled the wall with perfect agility and stealthfully became a lookout. On the outside he saw the Hill Giant laying in wait and several peryton that were flying around to scout the perimeter. While trying to sneak down, Clamente dismounted poorly and hurt his legs as well as alerted a loyalist to the giant that lived inside the walls. 
The last member of the resistance was Steve, a dragonborn and son of Jesus, one of the settlers of Lowry. He was in the library researching magical devices when the shorter stranger approached him and asked him to find what he could on the Giantsbane. After finding some information on it, Steve destroyed the evidence of the book and commited it to memory. 
The four party members met for the first time and were approached by the two figures who revealed themselves to be Kevin and Lenny, both being scarred from fights they have had to lead in the absence of the other heroes. At first the party was hesistant to give the items and knowledge over, in the end all but Steve relayed to them what they knew. But, as Lenny was explaining their options of where to go next, the Giant loyalists cornered the six. Lenny and Kevin began a fight with an assassin far outmatching all of the resistance, and told the others to run away.
