First Setting Out. {Session 1 Report}
General Summary
Oribell Mosslight, a rogue halfling hailing from the town of Conesorough, Draven Vrammyr, a drow druid of shepherds from the Under dark, and Diedrich Callahan, a Dragonborn of unknown lineage, a genuinely barbaric warrior. These three adventurers all have one soft spot, which was preyed upon by a faction of the Manora Church. The priest that gathered these three sent them on a mission to liberate the city of Shawham from ex-church-member Birron, a powerful enchantment mage, who has brainwashed the town to do his bidding. Upon setting out the group ran into High Council Member NIhimos, an elf with slick back hair and a weasely voice. After leaving the city and reaching "wilderness" the group was attacked by a lone hobgoblin, after slaying their assailant, Diedrich noticed fire deep in the forest and urged the group to explore. They were met with a lit flame and tents available for them to take their first rest together. Midway through the night, a group of 4 bandits and their captain surprised the group, and moved in from four corners, grouping them in one spot. After annihilating 2 of the thieves, their boss showed up and put up a decent fight, but ultimately fell to the group. Midway through their journey in the sun, The Kammermats ran into Gorc, a stranger to them, walking away from Shawham, unable to remember anything besides his name. The group brings Gorc with them to town, but right before they officially make it, the group finds both Gorc and their Druid (Draven) under Birron's brainwashing, and they attack the remaining two un-controlled party members. A couple of swift bonks to the head removed the spell's effect on the 2, and they regained consciousness with a severe headache. The group investigates the tavern, where no one is recognizable to Gorc or any of the party, they then leave the tavern and approach the small doctors office in the town, luckily directly across from the tavern. The doctor greets Gorc by name, and introduces him as the blacksmith of the town, before telling the group he will take care of him in the back. The duo never return. After a short while, the group open the simply unlocked door and find no one in the back room, after a little bit of investigation, Diedrich falls through the floor boards, and reveals the secret tunnel the duo must've taken out of here.
