O&F5 Session 10: In the Ghetto

General Summary

12 Oakenfall, 103 III-Inter, Cappebraccia  After coming to blows with a Scarlet Oriflamme patrol in front of Led Falanodele's Tipsy Trader Tavern, Oloward and the Faithful Five have only just escaped the city. Sending Led and Grunn off ahead to Sir Ogiero's Keep, they agree to save Led's family from Cappebraccia's Low Elvish ghetto. Approaching the ghetto, they find that the gates are locked behind them, and that the scarlatti on the walls of the neighbourhood are preparing to torch (part of) the place. Trying to calm the panic among the elves and find another way out, they investigate the old church and find an entrance into the catacombs beneath the church's crypt.   Navigating the snaking catacombs, they stumble upon an old underground church hidden behind a hidden trapdoor. Here, they find a number of mysterious robes and a map indicating the trajectory which the Archbishop of Cappebraccia will take towards Monsallorea to intervene in the abbatial election. Combing out this hidden shrine, the party continues out towards an entrance on the city's moat, and manages to get themselves and 49 elves safely away.   Back at the castle, which is named "the splendid, stately, striking, sublime, sumptuous, superb, smashing, standout, superior, superlative and swanky Seat of Oloward the Magnificent and the Faithful Five" or "The Seat" for short, they settle the elves into their new lifes, appointing Led's brother Brian Falanodele the new castellan as they set off on new adventures. Meanwhile, Bubbles is visited by a squirrel sent by Prior Brandarius of Monsallorea, who informs him that the Bishop of Cappebraccia has died on the road between Cappebraccia and Monsallorea to break the tie in the abbatial election at the Abbey. There are also rumours that the Scarlet Oriflamme might be taking a contract with one of the great powers, with the Arlesians immediately being suggested as a prime candidate.

Missions/Quests Completed

The Missing Metropolitan: the party finds out the bishop has been killed and the Chantry is being blamed. However, they have also found evidence that not all is as it seems... The party saved Led's family and 49 elves from the ghetto.
